This first day marks the beginning of your journey through Peru, exploring Lima, a city where pre-Inca heritage, colonial splendor, and modern life coexist. Known as the City of Kings, Lima offers a historical and cultural tour that allows you to understand the origins of the country and its deep identity.
During this Lima City Tour, discover important remains of the pre-Hispanic and colonial past, enjoy views of the Pacific, and explore the cultural diversity that defines the capital. It's an excellent way to round out your trip through Peru, especially before or after visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu, connecting the country's ancient history with Lima's vibrant contemporary life.
After breakfast, 08:50 hrs or 14:00 hrs, we will begin the Lima City Tour, first exploring the elegant modern area of the capital. We will tour the exclusive district of Miraflores, where we will visit the romantic Parque del Amor (Love Park) and Larcomar, a modern complex built on the cliffs with impressive views of the Pacific Ocean. Afterward we will take in a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an important pre-Inca ceremonial center that reveals the legacy of the ancient Lima culture in the heart of the city.
The experience will continue in the Historic Center of Lima, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where we will discover magnificent colonial buildings and monuments that tell the story of the former Viceroyalty of Peru. We will visit the Convent of San Francisco and its famous Catacombs, as well as the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Plaza San Martín, and the historic Casa Aliaga, creating an experience that combines history, architecture, and culture in one of South America's most fascinating cities.
