During this adventure you will cover approximately 20 km (12.4 miles) through traditional communities, Andean mountains, and ancient trails used by the Incas more than five centuries ago. Huchuy Qosqo, whose name means "Little Cusco," was an important administrative and ceremonial center of the Inca Empire, built on a privileged natural terrace that offers some of the best panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. Hike along ancient Inca trails and panoramic views of the Sacred Valley
Very early, between 06:00 and 06:30 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel to begin an approximately 2-hour trip to Lamay, a traditional town located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From here we will begin a gradual hike along ancestral trails, crossing agricultural terraces, small Andean communities, and mountain landscapes that offer spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks and the valley. This tour is an excellent introduction to trekking in Peru, combining nature, history, and tranquility.
Today's hike covers approximately 12 km (7.5 miles) and lasts 5 to 6 hours, reaching a maximum altitude of 3,650 m a.s.l. In the afternoon we will arrive at the extraordinary archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo, where we will tour its terraces, ceremonial enclosures, water channels, and natural viewpoints while discovering the strategic importance of this ancient Inca center. We will end the day with a traditional dinner and rest at a campsite or local house, surrounded by the silence and immensity of the Andes.

After breakfast, you will have additional time to continue exploring Huchuy Qosqo with your guide and take photos of the valley from different viewpoints. Later we will begin the descent back through valleys and rural trails to Lamay.
Today's hike covers approximately 8 km (5 miles) and lasts 3 to 4 hours, ending in the town of Lamay, where our private transport will be waiting for the return trip to Cusco. We will arrive during the early afternoon, allowing you to rest or continue exploring the ancient Inca capital after experiencing a journey that combines archaeology, Andean landscapes, and living culture, considered one of the best short trekking alternatives in Peru for international travelers.
